Toka Leya Camp

Toka Leya Camp is a laid-back establishment situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, 12km above the iconic Victoria Falls. From its 12 safari-style tents and open main camp, guests can enjoy lovely views of the river from beneath the shade of jackalberry, knobthorn and waterberry trees. Named after the Toka Leya people, who inhabited the area around Livingstone hundreds of years before explorer David Livingstone arrived, it is one of the best value camps in the area.

Accommodation

Accommodation at Toka Leya takes the form of 12 safari-style tents stretched out along the banks of the Zambezi River, all of which are connected by wooden walkways. Nine of these tents boast a double/twin configuration, and three are family rooms. Each features a spacious open-plan bedroom and lounge, and a wrap-around balcony with a cosy sunken seating area. Most importantly, they feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors which open out into the lush bushveld and provide stunning views over the river. The beautiful en-suite bathrooms have double basins, indoor and outdoor showers, as well as a romantic outdoor bathtub. Other convenient amenities in the tents include air-conditioning, mosquito nets, insect repellent, down duvets, and complimentary toiletries.
